Jonathan Wright scored a hat-trick to inspire Bedlington Terriers to victory in their crucial clash with Norton and Stockton Ancients at the Norton Sports Complex.

The forward scored two in quick succession on 21 and 29 minutes to give the hosts a well-deserved lead in the game, before Marcus Laing reduced the deficit shortly after half-time.

Marcus Brown bagged his second goal in as many games and Wright then sealed a perfect night four minutes from the end after Lewis Walton gave the hosts a glimmer of hope.

Andy Ferrell’s men have it all to do if they are to stay in the division, and a win against the leagues basement side will give them belief that they can stay in the division.
