Moors swoop for former Latics youngster
Spennymoor Town have signed former Wigan Athletic and Darlington player Jordan Robinson.
Manager Jason Ainsley commented “I am delighted to announce the signing of Jordan Robinson on a two year deal with the club.
Jordan has a wealth of experience for a 24 year old having played at Darlington for 2 years and at Wigan Athletic under Roberto Martinez. He is an excellent player that reads the game very well and is a good passer of the ball and at 6’2″ will be a big asset to us.
When I met Jordan he was very determined to succeed at Spennymoor and even though clubs from the Evo-Stik Premier wanted him he saw the vision with which the club is going and we are delighted to have him on board.”
Jordan added “I decided to join Spennymoor because I want to start progressing again as a player and I think that the club is the best place to do that with the plans they have to move forward.
Having played against them and watched them a few times over the last few years I like the style of play and I think it suits the way I want to play. Lastly the manager has gone out of his way to show me how keen he was to sign me and that is a big motivation in my decision”
