Newcastle Building Society Premier Division

 

Marc Shiel bagged a brace in Carlisle City’s 4-1 win at Champions Blyth Town.

Rob McCartney and Alan Casey added the others, with David Atkinson hitting a late consolation.

Colin White also struck twice in Killingworth Station’s comprehensive victory at Wallington.

White grabbed the opener from the penalty spot and further goals from Jack Pinchen and Paul Dunn stretched the lead before the break. White rounded things off when he slammed in a free kick.

Lewis Matthews gave Northbank a fifth minute lead at Shankhouse that they held onto until the 89th minute when Joel Arnold levelled.

 

Nike First Division

 

AFC Newbiggin sealed promotion and the runners-up spot in mid-week with a 1-0 success at Bohemians and they turned on the style in their final game with six goals against New Fordley.

Brent Aisbitt struck twice and Michael Angus, Ross Muter, Darren Riddell and Kris Allington added the others. Jordan Watson netted a double in reply and Kieran Pile added a late third for the visitors.

Hexham completed their great escape with a 3-3 draw against high-flying Birtley Saint Josephs that secured safety.

Mike Robson, Tom North and Kurtis Harvey were on the scoresheet for the Tynedalers with the replies coming from Ryan Moore, Philip Quigley and an own goal.

Wooler ran out 3-1 victors at Gosforth Bohemians.

 

Bay Plastics Second Division

 

Steven Knox slammed in a hat-trick as Grainger Park ended their season on a high.

Robert Jefferson added two more, with Sean Reid and Tony Leach also on target in the big win against Newcastle Benfield Reserves, who struck back courtesy of Nelson Ndlovu, Adam Cole and Shaun Clennell.
