Watson takes over as Celtic boss

Vanarama Conference North side Stalybridge Celtic have announced that Liam Watson has agreed to take up the vacant role as their new manager.

The former Southport manager will begin work at Bower Fold on Monday, however he will be in the stands for Celtic’s league fixture with Gloucester City on Saturday.

Watson will bring his former assistant Dominic Morley in to work alongside him although Coach Dave Sullivan and captain Scott Kerr will remain in charge for the City game.

Watson has had great success as a manager winning the Conference North on three separate occasions, twice with Southport and once with AFC Telford United and he won the Unibond League with Burscough.
