Newcastle Building Society Premier Division
Stephen Howes fired in a double as leaders Blyth Town smashed six past Walker Central.
Ian Lee, Scott Pocklington, Craig Hopwood and Daniel Beresford got the others.
It also ended 6-0 at Shankhouse as they all but condemned Hebburn Reyrolle to Division One. Kevin Westphal hit a hat-trick, Marty Roper added two more and Lee Gustard piled on the agony.
Lee Crammond (2), Dan Capewell, Sean Millington and Karl Morrison were North Shields Athletic’s scorers as they went into second spot by mauling Seaton Delaval, who pulled one back through Alex Benjamin.
Chris Glass struck twice for Ashington Colliers but Rutherford hit back to win it with replies from Andrew Davidson, David Doyle and Dean McCallum.
Mark Worrall’s double gave Northbank the points against Red House Farm, who netted thanks to a Steve Brown penalty, and it ended all square at Whitley Bay A, whose scorer was Jack Byerley, with Zak Atkinson on target for Whickham SC.
Nike First Division
Hexham stunned leaders Percy Main with goals from Thomas North, Curtis Harvey and Luke Parkinson to take the three points. Jorge Bollardo and Dan Sneap struck for the Villagers.
Wallsend Boys Club’s Michael Pooley, Nicky Whitelaw, Michael Starkie and William James netted in their win at Ponteland United, who had their keeper dismissed, with Boys Club also ending the game with ten men while Andrew Welsh hit the only goal in Bedlington Terriers Reserves victory over Chemfica.
Danny Donaldson’s opener for Cramlington Town was cancelled out by Blyth Isabella’s Che Aisbitt and it also ended honours even at Bohemians who came from 2-0 down against New Fordley. A Tavis Couling penalty, an own goal and Dan Sneap made up the Bohs tally with Zak Tulley grabbing one for the visitors.
Bay Plastics Second Division
Gateshead Leam Rangers striker James Fenwick netted five times as the leaders wracked up double figures against Cramlington United.
Liam Barnett added a hat-trick and goals from Ryan Gibson and Lee Turnbull completed the rout.
Shilbottle CW kept up the pressure as they crashed seven past Willington Quay Saints. Josh Hay struck twice and Ross Gair, Brad McLelland, Phil Grey, Liam Brooks and Chris Graham shared the others.
Duanne Brooks and Jared Dowd netted as basement side Wideopen stunned Lindisfarne Custom Planet while Chris Sword and Harvey Lockwood netted on the break for Longbenton in their success at Forest Hall.
Adam bravey, Andy Smith and Jonathon Doyle got on the scoresheet for Whitburn Athletic in their victory over Alnwick Town Reserves, who notched courtesy of Kenny Collins, while David Donnelly shot Swalwell ahead against High Howdon but goals from Declan King and Chris Marshall turned the game on its head.
Sean Allen and Dan Surley both bagged braces in West Allotment Celtic A’s success against Grainger Park. Ridi Muteba got the other with Shaun Young (2) and Steven Thompson netting for the visitors.
NFA Minor Cup & CFA Senior Cup
Alex Patterson’s 66th minute penalty dumped holders AFC Newbiggin out of the Minor Cup and sparked the celebrations as Tyneside Amateur League leaders Hazlerigg Victory booked a spot in the Final.
Newcastle University were 8-0 winners over Red Row Welfare in the other semi.
Kyle Armstrong grabbed a late winner for Carlisle City at Wigton to put the Sky Blues into the semi-finals of the Cumberland Senior Cup.
